The Initiative serves as a resource for workers and unions addressing housing issues, promotes union jobs as a path out of homelessness, and works with unions engaged in building housing.
Unions have a proud history of fighting for housing justice and building affordable housing. The New England Labor Housing Initiative seeks to build on that history, engaging unions on innovative, evidence-based solutions.
A Resource for Unions Engaged in Housing Issues
The Initiative provides reports, resources and convenes unions and housing advocates to build and strengthen work to address housing justice and homelessness.
Union Jobs as a Path out of Homelessness
The Initiative is partnering with unions and shelters on training programs to provide those experiencing homelessness with a pathway to good-paying jobs.
Promoting Pro-Union, Pro-Worker Solutions
The Initiative works with the labor movement to promote pro-union and pro-worker solutions to the homelessness and housing crises
